Its time for another “From My Point of View”! Todays is… Holiday theme!! What I mean by that is, Holiday problems, activities, etc, from my point of view!
Too Much Christmas Decor
Some people say that the more Christmas decorations the better! Yes, I love Christmas, and love to decorate. But an abundant amount can seem, suffocating, cluttered, and sometimes tacky. It really depends what type of decor. Too many decorations on a tree is fine to me. I love more decorations on a tree! Some people may say it’s a pet peeve for them. Why make more work for ourself to clean, and take all the embellishments down after a mere month, or a couple weeks of them there. It’s basically you getting used to an addition to your house then taking it away. Its another thing if you are a hotel, or restaurant. It can bring more attention to your store, restaurant, or hotel if you make it seem more jolly!
White Elephant Game
The White Elephant game, is a game where you randomly select a gift, without knowing what it is, you can trade it with other people, and take other people’s gifts. It’s also known as Yankee Swap, or Dirty Santa. It’s called the white elephant game because, if you play it this way, you can get an elephant as a gift that cannot be taken, or traded. Many families play the game differently. I think this is such a delightful game, that can be enjoyed by so many people!
Easter Bunny
The Easter bunny is beloved by children everywhere! The concept of the Easter bunny is such a sweet thing! The whole idea of the Easter bunny came from Germany. Originally called the “Easter Hare”, the Easter bunny used to be very associated with the church. The hare judged kids, whether being pleasant, or misbehaved. (Much like naughty or nice). If you were pleasant (which most kids were) you would get candy! Mostly Easter eggs with candy inside. Some candy given today is, Cadbury Mini Eggs, Robin Eggs, Nerds, Peeps, and many more! I think the Easter bunny is quite an interesting topic!
Halloween
Halloween is the spookiest time of the year! For many people its their favorite time of the year! Dressing up and going door-to-door is a great childhood experience, but too much candy is a known thing about Halloween. Halloween parties are quite well known during this time. There is not much to say about Halloween, except that Halloween has a looooong history! It started over 2,000 years ago by the Celtics, well except now its much more reformed and changed. The holiday started in the area that is now Ireland, United Kingdom, and France. It’s not my favorite holiday, but that doesn’t make it any less spectacular. Its quite an enjoyable holiday for many people, including myself.
